<p>&nbsp;</p>]]></description><wfw:commentRss>http://giantplot.squarespace.com/home/rss-comments-entry-3045837.xml</wfw:commentRss></item><item><title>Old Navy, reconstructed.</title><category>Fashion</category><category>Sewing</category><dc:creator>Giant Plot</dc:creator><pubDate>Tue, 17 Feb 2009 00:01:56 +0000</pubDate><link>http://giantplot.squarespace.com/home/2009/2/17/old-navy-reconstructed.html</link><guid isPermaLink="false">309732:3214715:3044786</guid><description><![CDATA[<p>In my sewing room I have 3 large baskets that are stuffed with stained, ripped, ill-fitting or otherwise maligned garments that I am convinced I could salvage or repurpose if given enough time. &nbsp; Since the girls were outside for ages on a playdate, I decided to put that to the test. &nbsp;Kendall has a cheap, gauzy top from Old Navy that was stained with yellow paint ages ago. &nbsp;Apparently OxyClean doesn't get <em>everything</em>&nbsp;out. &nbsp;Of course, the largest stain was directly on the front. &nbsp; So that was chopped out, and some red and cream polka dots made this an entirely new top. &nbsp; There was also a big stain on the sleeve, so I rolled them up and crazy stitched them in place. &nbsp;Ready for some denim shorts, come spring!</p>
