Old Navy, reconstructed.
Monday, February 16, 2009 at 5:01PM In my sewing room I have 3 large baskets that are stuffed with stained, ripped, ill-fitting or otherwise maligned garments that I am convinced I could salvage or repurpose if given enough time. Since the girls were outside for ages on a playdate, I decided to put that to the test. Kendall has a cheap, gauzy top from Old Navy that was stained with yellow paint ages ago. Apparently OxyClean doesn't get everything out. Of course, the largest stain was directly on the front. So that was chopped out, and some red and cream polka dots made this an entirely new top. There was also a big stain on the sleeve, so I rolled them up and crazy stitched them in place. Ready for some denim shorts, come spring!
